Nikon recently launched three new Action Cams, offering up a range of rugged models for three different types of adventurous storytellers. The flagship model is the KeyMission 360, which is set to deliver 4K Ultra HD videos in the VR-friendly 360-degree field of view. The cam features automatic in-camera stitching so you can quickly upload videos to the web as well as a dual f/2.0 lens / dual 20MP CMOS image sensor setup that can also capture 30MP 360-degree still images. Electronic Vibration Reduction (VR) can be applied after recording.

Waterproof down to 98 ft., shockproof up to a 6.6 ft. fall, and freezeproof down to 14° F, the KeyMission 360 boasts superlapse, time-lapse, and loop movie modes. Loop is particularly helpful for saving memory while allowing you to never miss a shot.

The one thing you won’t see on the KeyMission 360 is a built-in LCD (the second lens is positioned where it would go). As such, Nikon has developed a special version of their Wi-Fi enabled Android and iOS app, dubbed SnapBridge 360/170, which users must access to adjust the settings menu, transfer files to your smart device, or to see a live view of, or to playback, footage. There will also be a KeyMission 360/170 Utility program for PC and Mac to help download and edit footage.
