Kristy Jessica lands cover of Modelz View Magazine
Model: Kristy Jessica; Photographer: Greg Woodson
Kristy Jessica is featured on the most recent cover of Modelz View Magazine. She is currently based in Seattle, Washington. Kristy started modeling as a hobby when she was 18 years old. Here is what she had to say about her modeling career so far: “The single greatest achievement I have accomplished in my life has been making the leap from restaurant work to full-time freelance modeling!” In addition to succeeding as a freelance model herself, Kristy also devotes a lot of time to projects that help aspiring freelance models navigate the industry while staying safe. She enjoys the entire creative process and is very passionate about her work.
Samantha Minter’s Easyriders Magazine cover
Model: Samantha Minter; Photographer: Brad Patton
Samantha Minter is on the cover of the January 2016 issue of Easyriders Magazine. It’s the world’s most popular motorcycle magazine for men. Samantha is based in Greensboro, North Carolina. Although she has only been modeling since the end of 2013, she has already accomplished more than many other models who have been in the industry for several years. This is not her first time getting published. Samantha has been seen in NIF Magazine, Ravish Magazine, Surreal Beauty Magazine, Southern Vixens Magazine and a few others. We are sure that it’s only a matter of time before we see her on another cover.
Brittany Elizabeth’s poster for sale in Spencer’s
Model: Brittany Elizabeth
Brittany Elizabeth‘s newest poster is for sale at Spencer’s as well as several online retailers. This is a big milestone in her career because the majority of models don’t get to sell their posters at mainstream retailers. In reality, it’s very difficult to get any kind of retail space even for established brands, let alone models. However, Brittany is different. The Los Angeles based stunner has accomplished a lot throughout her career and is showing no sign of slowing down any time soon. Brittany has been seen in Maxim, FIGHT! Magazine, Sport Illustrated, Ultimate MMA, SESSIONS Magazine, Snap Matter Magazine and many others. We are always excited to hear what more she has in store.
New study shows ad campaigns featuring plus-size models promotes unhealthy lifestyle
According to CBC, research at Simon Fraser University suggests the “inclusion of plus-size models in advertising results in less motivation to have a healthy lifestyle, but critics say the results are overly-simplistic.” The study also suggests that seeing larger models in advertising gives society the idea that being overweight is normal and totally acceptable. On the other hand though, the reason plus size models are being used in advertising is to create the kind of diversity that the industry has been lacking. The CBC article also states that “the usage of a range of body types is probably a good thing, so long as we’re not holding up either one of those bodies, be it large or be it small, and saying this is what you should strive to, or this is good.” People don’t necessarily see photos of large models and think: “Oh, I’m going to eat fast food and sit on the couch all day every day.” Therefore, it’s almost impossible to assume one way or the other. Do you feel that plus size models promote an unhealthy lifestyle in members of the general population?
