Where are you from? Where are you based now and do you travel for shoots?

I was born and raised in Greece, but I moved to Paris, France, 8 years ago. I am a nomad at heart and I spend half of each month abroad, mostly through modeling.

Who or what inspired you to become a model?

I started by accident five years ago and I absolutely didn’t expect to ever become a model.

How and when did you start modeling?

I was in film school, studying directing in cinema (so I was always behind the camera) when other students started asking me to act for them just to help them out. Then, some photographers saw me and suggested I work for them, and that was it! I loved it! I loved interpreting personalities through my modeling and I immediately got many job opportunities.

What type of modeling do you enjoy the most?

Nude and erotica. I really never enjoyed fashion in any way, so that’s also why I never imagined that I would do modeling professionally. But I always loved erotic photography and cinema, particularly from the 70s. This is the only kind of modeling where I feel free to express myself and also encourage positive body-image.

What do you look for when deciding to work with a photographer?

First thing, to be professional. And by this, I don’t mean to necessarily define himself/herself as a pro photographer, but to have the right attitude and behavior. There’s no place for people who don’t know how to behave in this job. Then, I certainly look for a personal gaze, just like with every other artist. I love being taken into another artistic universe and be lost in it. Finally, I’m not interested in just making nice pictures of myself, no one cares, there are way too many beautiful faces out there already.

Which models or other artists currently inspire you?

I like models who are artists at the same time or activists. I believe that today we have the power to use social media and all this attention that “hot models” get to stand up for socio-cultural change. So, yes, I’m pretty much interested in every artist or model whose intention is to raise awareness about our socio-cultural values.

What would be your dream shoot?

Definitely something very cinematic. Maybe a shoot inspired by an Antonioni film!

How important is social media in your success?

Very important! I was able to travel worldwide and also sell my personal work through my Instagram. However, we’re going through a period of severe censorship where people who use their bodies or sexuality are being literally exiled from this community now, and I’m one of them, so I’m not sure how I’m supposed to get exposure anymore.

What else do you like to do outside of modeling?

I write articles in three languages about art, religion, and sexuality in magazines such as Nuart and Playboy. I also write, direct and edit my own short films and my own perform art pieces.

What’s the best career advice you can give to new models?

Be unapologetically you, be fearless and don’t let fucking anyone to tell you what you’re supposed to do or when to do it!
